On the night He was betrayed, Jesus prayed that the church would be a caring community united in love. We believe that unity begins with leaders. (John 17:20-23)
Pastors and ministry leaders are meeting also over north metro Atlanta to cultivate unity, care for one another and advocate for the health of each other church.
These groups provide consistent space to cultivate community with those who know the weight of ministry. GVM Groups consist of ministry leaders from a variety of Christian denominations who all love Jesus, love the Word of God and believe the gospel.
We love to see Ministry Leaders living out the prayer of Jesus as the connect with, care for and journey together.
The groups meet twice each month to do three things:
- Check in – an opportunity to share our blessings and struggles in a safe place
- Share what is fresh from God – beyond being simply a place to unload our burdens, we seek to share our journey of growth in Christ, what He is teaching us, and in the process encourage one another.
- Pray Together – we pray for one another personally and for the community to which we’ve been called.
So far, 14 groups for pastors and ministry leaders have been formed in Metro Atlanta and northern Georgia, with the intent to keep the movement growing.
This phase of Grace Valley Ministries is aided by our partnership with Barnabas Ministries Inc. Phil is a regional director and enjoys the encouragement of being part of a growing movement of John 17:23 pastoral support groups across the nation and world.
